KS2 Performance of Joseph and the Technicoloured coat

KS2 have been working really hard rehearsing for the end of year production. All performances went extremely well on all three days (Tuesday 18th, Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th).

Here are some comments made by audience members:

"WOW! A brillaint performace - you are all super stars!"

by Jackie Partridge (Head of Springwell School)

"I would like to say a thank you for my invitation to the musical of 'Joseph'. It was absolutely great to watch. Hope to come to another one soon."

                                                        by Geoff Roser (Lollipop Man)

"It was fantastic! I really enjoyed it. Great to see the children expressing themselves in this way! Way to go!"

"WOW! What a fantastic performance! The children have such talent and enthusiasm. An amazing show. Well done!"

by Revd Jane Bakker (All Saints & St Peters church)

"The whole production was so prefessional and the costumes were so eye catching. Every sound and word were clarity itself. The children were so cool and calm when the sound wasn't up to scratch. All your hard work and rehearsing really paid off. Congratulations to all!"

                                                      by Mrs Murphy

"WOW!!! Where do I start? My chidlren have been attending this school for the past 8 years and this has to be, by far, the BEST performance I have ever seen. The singing was beautiful, the costumes were fantastic, the choreography was brilliant and even though there were a few microphone issues the children continued like total professionals. The only thing that concerns me is... how on earth are you going to be able to top that next year? A massive well done to everyone of you involved, you should be extremely proud of yourselfves."

by Mrs Douglas (Former staff member)

LKS2 London trip to the British Museum

On Friday 23rd June, LKS2 went on a school trip to London to visit the British Museum. Oak, Sycamore and Hawthorn class thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Musuem. We had lots of parent helpers join us for the trip which was great.

KS1 Marwell Zoo trip

On Wednesday 7th June 2017, KS1 went on a school trip to Marwell. Hornbeam, Beech and Holly class all had a great time learning about different types of animals for their science topic this term.

Sports Day & Race for Life

Sports day is taking place on Friday 30th June 2017. Early years and Key Stage 1 will be in the morning from 9:30am-11:30am. Key Stage 2 will be in the afternoon from 1pm-3pm.

Easter Service

We returned to St Peter’s for our Easter Service with Rev Jane on Thursday 6th April 2017. We walked to the church. During the service there were performances from the  children, including readings, the recorder ensemble and the choir.

This video is our school choir performing at the Easter Church service. They did amazing.

This video is our whole singing at the Easter Church service. We have practised this song in Key Stages every fortnight. Well done!

Early Years were farmers to duckings in March 2017. They have enjoyed looking at how they grow. All the other children in school are always so excited to see them whenever they walk past.

Our Ducklings!
Do you recognise this handsome pair? These are our ducklings that hatched last term. Mrs Purkiss, our Maple class teacher, has given them a new home and here they are enjoying a splash in their own pool.
Their plumage is coming through and their beautiful black feathers shimmer green and purple in the light. They are Cayuga Ducks. We are so glad that they are living with Mrs Purkiss as she is able to give us regular ‘duckdates’! Check out the website for more news.
