Down Syndrome Awareness Day 2021

Every year on the 21st March it is International Down Syndrome Day. It is celebrated on this day because Down Syndrome is a condition where the 21st chromosome has been tripled. Hence the 21st day of the 3rd month. This is a day we celebrate every year but this year it has even more important as Elivia, in Jeffers class, has Down Syndrome. Elivia is a wonderful, lively and happy member of our school community who is unique and special in so many different ways. We celebrated and raised awareness of Down Syndrome on Monday 22nd March (because we couldn't do it on a Sunday!) by wearing odd socks! Please see the Gallery for photos!
